Jesus has come as a light of the world. Have you ever noticed how our room can be cloaked in total darkness? And yet the tiniest light shines brightly through the darkness. The light can overcome the darkness, but the darkness cannot overcome the light. One of my favorite scripture passages is found in Micah 7:8. “Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” What darkness are you facing today? The past couple of weeks. Family and friends have experienced loss of loved ones. Their grief hangs heavy like a thick fog. As they approach Christmas without their loved ones, their hearts lay shattered. Jesus shines His light upon them.
