Does your schedule overwhelm you? When you glance at your calendar you wonder if your over-sized coffee cup can hold enough caffeine to power you through another day. Whether you are a busy Mom, wife, sister, daughter or friend, I am sure you understand the feeling of not being able to catch your breath. Are you worn weary from worry and anxious thoughts? Is your brain bogged down with the busyness of life?
Find comfort and peace in this message from God to you, “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. Philippians 4:6-7 Amplified Bible
Do you long for the peace of God’s presence, but you struggle to find time to spend in God’s Word. Maybe you only have five minutes at a time but you wonder if that is enough. God offers us Grace for each moment in our life. He meets with us in His Word and the amount of time does not matter when we meet with the One, who is not limited by time.
God’s Word is more powerful than we can possibly imagine.
In the beginning God spoke and created the universe. He said, “Let there be” and it was established.
Jesus, the Word-made-flesh came into world and when He spoke miracles happened: Lazarus was raised from dead, demons were cast out, lepers were healed, the blind could see, and the lame could walk. In Mark chapter four we see Jesus sleeping in the bottom of the boat during a powerful storm, the disciples were afraid and the boat was ready to capsize. Jesus commands the storm to, “Be still” and the sea became calm.
Finally, the living Word, Jesus, gave Himself up to death, and His last words as He died were:
And this Word-made-flesh conquered sin, death, and the devil.
God meets us right where we are at, in His Word. God gives us grace for each moment in our life. Every minute we spend with Him is a precious gift.
